Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.

We’re looking for a Risk Manager to support our growing retail credit portfolio. You'll make data-driven decisions on risk-adjusted return requirements and lead preventive and reactive actions that impact portfolio credit performance and profitability in New Zealand and within the second line of defence.

• Managing exposure to retail credit risk, ensuring it's within risk appetite
• Partnering with the Risk Modelling team to design, develop, and implement retail credit risk models
• Managing risk appetite through limit calibration and monitoring, and maintaining key policies, procedures, and controls
• Supporting management of relevant risk committees
• Engaging with first-line businesses to identify, monitor, and govern emerging retail credit risks, including new product risk assessments
• Engaging with key stakeholders, committees, and regional regulators on material retail credit risk exposures and limit governance
• Quantifying risk exposures within the organisation, taking into consideration stakeholder impact
• Protecting the company from excessive risk-taking, saving on both short and long-term costs
• Building trust and reputation with external stakeholders
• Identifying emerging risks that require immediate attention

• A track record of managing the risk cycle for retail credit products, like credit cards, unsecured personal loans, etc.
• A solid understanding of credit policy governance framework and the ability to work through the three lines of defence in a competent manner
• Knowledge of credit risk regulations, issues, and methodologies in New Zealand
• The ability to deliver excellent results that exceed requirements, plan appropriately to meet multiple objectives, and proactively identify and resolve issues
• Familiarity with behavioural scoring models for retail credit products
• A structured work and communication style with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple manner
• To thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments
• A data-driven approach to problem solving

• Knowledge of SQL, R, Python, and other data analysis tools, and a willingness to learn new technologies
