Scope of work
This internship with the Auckland Buildings Team offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the electrical engineering space relating to Building Services. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning, modelling, engineering design and delivery of some of the most exciting buildings projects in across the following sectors:
- Health care
- Data centers
- Defense
- Commercial
- Public & Transport
- Primary, secondary and tertiary education
- Hospitality
- Sports and Recreation
- Energy and renewables
- Mission critical
- Social infrastructure such as social housing and other community projects
Join our team for the for the summer and become part of an inclusive, collaborative, and diverse environment.
This role will allow you to gain some understanding of the building services sector and the role of an engineering consultant. It offers valuable exposure to real-world projects, enabling you to enhance your technical skills and gain insight into the multifaceted nature of this industry.

Who can apply
To be eligible to apply you must:
- Be in your second or third year of study
- Preferably have a full clean current driving licence
- Studying a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Able to commence work from 23rd November 2026 to 12th February 2027
