M ō te T ū ranga | About the Role
SkyCity's Financial Crime department are looking for a Financial Crime Compliance Specialist. The role supports the Financial Crime Compliance Manager with monitoring adherence with financial crime compliance programmes across SkyCity while working closely with the business and the financial crime team.
Provide independent, pragmatic advice enabling the business to understand and manage financial crime compliance and risks
Support in interpreting regulatory requirements, and in drafting and maintaining policies and procedures
Proactively manage financial crime compliance and risks
Monitor and report on adherence with SkyCity's AML/CFT programme both in NZ and Australia
Act as a subject matter expert for financial crime queries and change initiatives
Provide training to ensure the business is aware of its financial crime obligations
Continuously look to improve processes
M ō u | About You
2-3 years experience in AML/CFT in the Gaming, Financial Services or Legal industries
Demonstrated expertise in financial crime legalisation, regulatory frameworks and global best practise standards
Demonstrated experience in drafting compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidance materials
Ability to interpret and explain statutory obligations, regulatory expectations and compliance risk implications, enabling informed decision making across the organisation
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-subject matter experts
Self starter, able to work independently
Comfortable with presenting to a group of people
Ability to juggle a large number of priorities
