A Day in the Life

As a Key Account Manager for Woolworths New Zealand, you will be a key driver of our commercial success for our iconic cosmetic beauty brands within our dynamic Consumer Products Division. You'll build strong partnerships to ensure our iconic brands achieve maximum presence and performance in the New Zealand market.

  • Strategic Account Growth: Develop and execute strategic account plans, driving sales to meet and exceed targets. This includes managing new product launches, pricing, promotions, and category strategies.
  • Client Partnership: Acting as a trusted partner, you'll understand your clients' business needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of client projects and initiatives.
  • People Development: Developing a Key Account Executive, creating the conditions to enable their best performance and growth by providing feedback & creating learning on the job
  • Financial Management: You’ll manage your accounts' financial performance, including forecasting, optimising trade spend for maximum ROI, and overseeing promotional budgets.

Someone with a proven ability to build strong partnerships and drive results in a dynamic environment. You have a knack for turning market insights into actionable strategies and are skilled at navigating complex business scenarios. We are looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience in key account management, ideally within the FMCG industry.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, comfortable managing budgets and analysing performance.
  • Analytical and results-oriented mindset with a proficiency in using data to drive decisions.
