The Opportunity

This entry-level role is a great opportunity to kickstart your career in aviation and international logistics. No previous logistics experience is required we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn.

Working alongside our experienced Operations team, you will gain hands-on experience in airfreight operations, customer service and warehouse activities, supporting some of our key customers.

Based at Auckland Airport, you will learn how international shipments are managed, including time-critical aircraft parts, while developing the skills and confidence to progress into a fully competent Operations Coordinator role.

Working Pattern:Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Key Role Accountabilities

Operations & Airfreight Logistics

• • Learn how international airfreight shipments are coordinated, from booking through to delivery.
  • Assist with import and export documentation, shipment tracking and customer requirements.
  • Learn to use our logistics systems, including FirstTRAC and CargoWise.
  • Support time-critical and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) shipments.
  • Work with overseas offices, airlines and handling agents to help keep shipments moving.

• Warehouse Operations

• • Assist with receiving, checking, sorting and preparing freight for dispatch.
  • Help drivers with cargo collections and deliveries.
  • Safely load and unload containers and vehicles.
  • Learn how to handle specialist aviation cargo and follow warehouse safety procedures.

• Customer Service

• • Assist with customer enquiries and provide shipment updates.
  • Develop strong communication skills when dealing with customers, suppliers and overseas colleagues.
  • Help resolve shipment queries and ensure customer requirements are met.

• Compliance & Safety

• • Learn and follow import, export and cargo handling procedures.
  • Follow company safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Assist with identifying and resolving operational issues.

About You:

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in building a career in logistics. You will enjoy working as part of a team, be comfortable asking questions and be happy to get involved in both office-based and hands-on warehouse activities.

Key Skills & Attributes

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, and confidence learning new systems.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable undertaking practical warehouse duties, including manual handling.
• A current New Zealand driver's licence or forklift licence would be an advantage but is not essential.
