Full job description

Kia ora, Talofa lava, Kia Orana, Malo e lelei, Fakalofa lahi atu, Bula Vinaka and Namaste!

At ASB, we’re all about helping our customers get “One Step Ahead” by giving them the tools they need to manage their lives and plan for their families and future. Our People systems play an important role behind the scenes, enabling our teams to do their best work and deliver great outcomes for our customers.

We’re looking for a People Systems Analyst to help shape the systems that power our People experience and make a real difference for the teams who use them every day. You’ll turn business needs into practical system improvements, help coordinate changes and support the smooth day-to-day running of key platforms.

This could be a great next step for someone with strong hands-on experience in learning technology or recruitment systems who is ready to broaden their People systems knowledge. If you’re naturally curious, comfortable working with systems and enjoy making processes easier for others, we’d love to hear from you.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

Reporting to the People Systems Lead, you’ll support and help manage an assigned portfolio of People systems. You’ll work closely with our People teams to understand what they need, identify practical improvements and coordinate changes with Technology teams and vendors.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day management of People systems within your portfolio, with an initial focus on Cornerstone.
  • Working with People teams to understand their needs and turn them into practical system and process improvements.
  • Helping manage and prioritise system enhancements, fixes and requests.
  • Supporting system configuration, workflows and documentation so they remain clear, consistent and fit for purpose.
  • Coordinating testing, user acceptance testing and readiness activities for system changes.
  • Partnering with Technology teams and vendors to deliver changes smoothly.
  • Considering how changes may affect other systems, data, processes and users.
  • Supporting reliable BAU operations and helping identify opportunities to simplify or improve the way our systems work.
  • Keeping the People Systems Lead informed of risks, dependencies and decisions.
  • Collaborating with other analysts and sharing knowledge across the wider People systems portfolio.

Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?

You don’t need to be a deeply technical systems specialist. We’re looking for someone with strong hands-on experience using and supporting People technology, who is keen to grow their capability across a broader systems portfolio.

  • Hands-on Cornerstone experience is highly desirable; however, we also welcome experience with similar learning platforms, particularly where you can bring transferable skills across learning modules, system support and related processes.
  • Experience with SnapHire is highly desirable and our next highest priority.
  • Experience with PC+ or SuccessFactors would be an advantage.
  • Broader experience with HR, learning technology or recruitment systems.
  • An understanding of system configuration, workflows and how technology supports business processes.
  • The ability to listen to users, understand their needs and help shape practical solutions.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail, with the confidence to manage requests and competing priorities.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with People teams, Technology and vendors.
  • A curious, collaborative approach and a willingness to learn, develop and broaden your systems knowledge.
