Please note: T his is not an IT Systems Engineer role - this position focuses on complex systems engineering in operational, infrastructure, and defence environments rather than IT infrastructure or support.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Join Beca’s Applied Technology business and be part of a team using systems thinking to solve complex, real world challenges. This is an intermediate level Systems Engineer role, suited to someone looking to build on their existing experience while continuing to develop their capability. Our work supports New Zealand’s civilian and defence sectors across a range of environments, from aviation and maritime through to transport and public infrastructure.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the delivery of complex, mission-critical programmes across their full lifecycle. This is a collaborative environment where you’ll build strong relationships, apply structured thinking, and take a broad, outcome-focused approach to problem solving.
You’ll be supported by experienced practitioners and given opportunities to grow your capability, working across diverse projects and industries. Based in Auckland, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding career path with opportunities for development and progression.
In this role you will:
- Develop and deliver requirements and specifications across the lifecycle for complex, critical systems.
- Work in a broad, interdisciplinary environment with a focus on risk and safety.
- Grow your career in systems engineering alongside experienced, multi-discipline teams.
