Full job description

Kia hiwa rā!

At Unitec - part of Te Pūkenga, we're passionate about the power of education to positively change the lives of our learners, their family and wider communities. We make sure our learners are well equipped for the future needs of employers, by providing them with a mix of hands-on and classroom-based learning.

Te āheinga: The opportunity

As our Quality Reporting Analyst, you'll be working with the Academic Service team to provide expertise turning data into useful information to support evidence-based decision making and institutional evaluation processes. Your primary responsibility will be to use data analysis tools to collect, organise, analyse and scrutinise data from sources across the institute and the tertiary sector. You will then report and present the data in a way that allows important decisions to be made, which is crucial in contributing to the academic success and direction of our organisation. You'll also have the opportunity to use MS365 to develop new ways of working.

Please refer to the Position Description for further information about the position.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You'll have:

  • Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI and Excel
  • Demonstrable expertise in database applications, including SQL queries.
  • Ideally, come from a tertiary education environment with a strong understanding of academic quality and the processes involved.
  • the ability to make connections across different data sets and can engage across the institute to enable people to understand and use the data and information produced.
  • the skills to enable people to understand what they are seeing and why it's important - using a blend of clear communication and influencing skills.
  • An understanding or desire to learn te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori
  • Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, business intelligence or related fields.

Tā mātau rourou: What we offer

We might be biased but joining us at Unitec means you're committing to working with great people. You'll be working within a close-knit team, closely supporting other teams across Unitec, giving you plenty of opportunities to collaborate. We work together to support each other to delivery great outcomes for our students.
