The Department of Green Lane Cardiothoracic Surgery at Auckland City Hospital is seeking a junior cardiac surgeon looking for career advancement. The appointment is at the Medical Officer on Special Scale level (temporary, full time, salaried position). Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates should have clinical experience in a wide range of adult cardiothoracic surgery including: myocardial revascularization, valve replacement and repair, ablation of atrial fibrillation, aortic dissection repair, aortic reconstruction including valve sparing root replacement, stent grafts, heart and lung transplantation, ventricular assist devices and thoracic surgery.
Applicants must be a qualified medical practitioner with a post graduate qualification recognised as eligible for provisional general scope of practice or general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (
