What you’ll do:
Are you a passionate Chef who enjoys creating fresh, nutritious food and delivering great café experiences? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same?

Cater Plus is proud to support Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (TWOA) Located in the Mangere, and we're looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team.

You'll be responsible for preparing and serving quality food for students, staff, and café customers while helping create an enjoyable dining experience. Possible work in the Holidays but will need to be approved by a manager beforehand.

What you'll do:
  • Prepare, cook, and present fresh, high-quality meals and café offerings
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the campus café and student food services
  • Plan and prepare food to meet menu, quality, and dietary requirements
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food wastage
  • Deliver friendly, professional service to students, staff, and visitors

Who you are:
An experienced Chef with a passion for great food and customer service
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
  • A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Confident working in a fast-paced café and catering environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
  • Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication skills
