About the Role
Exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced administrator to join the Hamilton Supported Transfer and Accelerated Rehabilitation team (START), which forms part of the wider START service. This position is based in Hamilton, but it also supports the team in Taumarunui and Te Kuiti. While based in Hamilton, there may be a requirement to travel and support the other bases.
Key responsibilities:
- Scheduling of daily workloads and patient care
- Maintaining accurate admission and discharge records
- Customer service and handling of incoming and outgoing phone calls

About the Team/Service
START (Supported Transfer and Accelerated Rehabilitation Team) is an Older Persons and Rehabilitation led programme which provides and promotes rehabilitation of patients within their home environment.
START aims to reduce the pressure on hospital beds, through avoiding hospital admissions, earlier discharge, preventing readmissions and improving the quality of care for this group of patients.

The administrator we are looking for will:
- Have experience within a healthcare setting
- Great organisational and time management skills
- Excellent computer skills including iPM, CWS and Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be flexible and adaptable
- Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Be committed to creating a safe, positive and enriching workplace culture
- Will have an understanding of the NZ public health care system, including current Health NZ priorities
- Have a full NZ Drivers licence
