Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We have a fixed term opportunity for an Accounts Payable Representative to join our Finance team.

This role is all about keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes — ensuring our suppliers are paid accurately and on time, while resolving queries and improving processes along the way. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, working closely with stakeholders across the business and with external vendors to deliver a great service experience.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will:

  • Manage creditor accounts to ensure payments are processed accurately and in line with policy
  • Monitor invoices and resolve discrepancies to support timely payments and accurate accrals
  • Reconcile supplier statements and maintain the integrity of the creditors ledger
  • Build positive relationships with internal teams and suppliers to resolve queries and support smooth operations
  • Contribute ideas and continuous improvements to enhance processes and efficiency

You’re a proactive and detail-focused administrator who takes pride in delivering accurate, timely work. You’re comfortable managing competing priorities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in accounts payable or a similar finance administration role (or relevant study/training)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders, both written and verbal
  • A problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative
  • Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system (highly advantageous)
  • A collaborative approach and a positive attitude — a good sense of humour always helps!
