He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Team Manager Engagement – Capital Delivery to lead a high-performing team responsible for communications and community engagement across some of Auckland's largest and most transformational transport programmes.
In this influential leadership role, you will provide strategic direction and expert advice to senior stakeholders, ensuring communities remain at the heart of major infrastructure projects that will improve Auckland's transport network for generations to come.

You thrive in complex, high-profile environments where your leadership and strategic influence can shape outcomes for communities and the future of a city.
You are a seasoned communications and engagement leader with the ability to:
- Lead and inspire high-performing teams in complex environments
- Build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders across diverse interests
- Develop and deliver impactful engagement and communications strategies
- Navigate political and organisational complexity with confidence and professionalism
- Drive successful outcomes through strategic thinking, sound judgement, and strong business acumen
- Communicate complex information clearly, confidently, and persuasively
What We're Looking For
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
- 10+ years' experience in senior communications and engagement roles, including at least 3 years leading teams
- Proven success delivering engagement strategies for large-scale, complex programmes
- Experience leading transformational change and managing long-term strategic challenges
- Advanced engagement expertise, ideally supported by postgraduate qualifications
- Transport, infrastructure or public sector experience is highly desirable
