Description

The Higgins team in Auckland is seeking a Plant Operator to join our Silverdale asphalt batch plant. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team responsible for manufacturing and supplying asphalt mix to both internal and external customers.

What you'll bring
  • 2 + years experience operating asphalt batch plants, including troubleshooting and basic mechanical maintenance
  • Strong understanding of materials, tools, and methods used in asphalt production
  • Flexibility to work day and night shifts on a rotating roster
  • Class 1 licence (WTR) or overseas essential
  • Class 2 preferred – we’ll support you to gain this
  • Familiarity with handling bitumen; D & F endorsements beneficial
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proven commitment to health and safety
