- Part time role - 0.7 FTE, 56 hours per fortnight (fully rostered shifts)

- Based at North Shore Hospital

About the Role
Te Whatu Ora Waitematā Laboratory is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join our friendly Haematology and Blood Bank team on a temporary, part time basis. Multiskilling in both Haematology and Transfusion is essential, so work experience in both these disciplines will be an advantage. This is a fixed term role covering a staff member on parental leave for up to 12 months.

About you
To be successful in this role, you must be willing to participate in a 24/7 roster working 56 hours per fortnight including weekends and public holidays.
Requirements for this role:
- Recent experience, within the last year, working or training in a Haematology or Blood Bank laboratory
- Recent experience performing peripheral blood films and working knowledge of eTraceline and / or IT3000 would be advantageous
- Full drivers licence
- NZ residency or NZ citizenship is essential
- MS Council Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with a current annual practising certificate
