Full job description

A Restaurant/Bar Manager required for a busy Italian Restaurant A'MANO AUTHENTIC PASTA & CUCINA in Christchurch City Centre.

Full time position available.

Pay rate from $28 to $32 per hour - based on experience/qualification

Hours of work min 30 to max 35 hours per week - Monday to Sunday

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining health and safety for the restaurant and food quality standards
  • Planning menus with chefs
  • Keeping customers happy, getting feedback on the experience and handling
complaints
  • Managing customers review
- Managing daily shift operations, including front- and back-of-house restaurant
operations
  • Organising rosters, keeping track of employees’ hours and recording payroll
  • Ordering supplies while staying within budget and keeping a record of stock levels
  • Controlling general costs and identifying ways to cut waste
  • Evaluate staff performance and disciplining or retraining employees to correct poor
performance
  • Recruiting, interviewing and training staff
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in hospitality industry or Relevant
qualification
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a demonstrated ability to manage and
motivate a team
  • Duty Manager’s certificate preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings(often mid night), weekends, and peak business
hours
  • A team-oriented approach with a commitment to upholding our standards
