Full job description
About the role
As a PAK’nSAVE Associate Intern you’ll gain valuable exposure to how one of New Zealand’s most iconic brands operates, contributing to reporting, insights, and project work that supports stores and customers. You’ll be encouraged to bring your perspective, ideas, and life experience to the role while building your analytical and commercial capability through a mix of day‑to‑day tasks and strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Support weekly performance reporting and communications for the PAK’nSAVE team.
- Identify and analyse insights that help drive improvements for customers and stores.
- Support day‑to‑day operations for the PAK’nSAVE Retail team, including coordinating bi‑weekly newsletter communications to store teams. Explore AI within the team to identify where it can improve our efficiencies and ways of working.
About you
You’re proactive, organised, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You communicate clearly and confidently, are comfortable sharing ideas, and can adapt your approach when working with different stakeholders. A natural problem‑solver, you’re curious, innovative, and focused on achieving great outcomes for stores and customers. You’re able to manage multiple tasks, deliver quality work at pace, and take initiative while also working well as part of a team. Confident using Microsoft tools, you’re keen to learn new systems and build your experience within a commercial retail environment.
- 12-weeks paid work at living wage starting in November based in Māngere, Auckland.
- Renowned learning and development sessions fortnightly.
- An extensive support network - your People Leader, the Talent Team, a Kaiārahi (mentor) and your fellow interns to help you along the way.
- The opportunity to tackle real-world business problems that help us achieve our aspiration – to help New Zealanders get more out of life.
- Modern office spaces with free parking, subsidised lunches, flexible working, weekly supplier tastings and regular celebrations. 5% in store and online discount in our supermarkets.
- A written application form, video interview, and face-to-face interview with our People leaders. If successful, we’ll check your references before finalising contracts and moving you through our fun and interactive digital onboarding experience to get you ready to start in November.
