About the Opportunity:
With the support of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, we are offering 11 paid internship opportunities for tertiary students to gain meaningful professional experience across our enabling and non-clinical services within the Counties Manukau District.
Over 13 weeks, you will work alongside experienced professionals, you will gain practical experience, work alongside experienced professionals, and apply your studies to projects that make a meaningful contribution to healthcare across New Zealand.
Programme Details
- Duration: 13 weeks fixed term, full time Monday to Friday
- Dates: 16 November 2026 12 February 2027 (2 to 3-week business closure during Christmas/New Year)
- Location: Middlemore Hospital
- Employment: Paid internship
Successful applicants will join one of the following services:
- AI, Digital Enablers & Integration Process mapping and workflow improvement.
- Clinical Engineering Hospital equipment maintenance, testing and technology.
- Finance Financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Health Analytics Data analysis and cardiac network reporting.
- Legal Health law and initiatives for family/domestic violence as a health issue.
- People & Culture (Human Resources) HR processes and employee/service support
About You
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and curious students who are eager to learn, build professional experience, and contribute to one of New Zealand's largest healthcare organisations.
To be eligible, you will be:
- NZ Citizen and Permanent Resident
- Currently enrolled in a NZ tertiary Institution and on your second year or above in 2026 or a recent Law graduate.
- Passionate about learning and developing your professional skills.
- A strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively.
- Able to demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute.
