About us

When you join DB Breweries, you join the global HEINEKEN family, where everyone is encouraged to be themselves, contribute their ideas, learn and grow as part of one of the largest beer and cider brewing companies in the world spanning 70 countries. We believe diverse views make great brews, and the vibe in our team is very much reflected in our four values: PASSION for consumers and customers, CARE for people and planet, ENJOYMENT of life, and COURAGE to dream and pioneer.

We offer a great range of benefits and a positive, inclusive culture, including:

  • Free health, life, and income protection insurance.
  • 5% employer KiwiSaver contribution.
  • Monthly allowance of beer, cider, RTDs, or alcohol‑free beverages.
  • Generous employee discount at Star Hospitality venues.
  • Enjoyment of Life leave — an extra paid day each year to do something you love
  • Generous parental leave provisions
  • Free confidential counselling.
  • Digital wills, feminine hygiene products, retail discounts.
  • Commitment to Fair Pay through Mind the Gap and the Pacific Pay Gap Inquiry.

About the role

As a key member of the Brewery team, you’ll help ensure we safely and efficiently deliver high‑quality beer, cider and RTD products to market. You’ll play an active role in TPM and Continuous Improvement, contributing to asset reliability, operational excellence, and sustainable business performance.

In this hands‑on role, you will:

  • Deliver safe, timely and cost‑effective maintenance to support production and maintenance schedules
  • Carry out reactive, planned and predictive maintenance to a high standard
  • Support and lead TPM and Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce losses and improve performance
  • Act as a technical area owner, supporting asset care, life extension and innovation
  • Work closely with production, planning, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Contribute to safety, quality, food safety and sustainability standards across the brewery

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical capability and the right mindset. You’ll ideally have:

  • A current New Zealand Electrical Practising Licence (required)
  • Experience in maintenance within FMCG, food or beverage manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of plant, machinery and maintenance engineering practices
  • Experience using CMMS systems and maintenance reporting tools
  • A continuous improvement mindset (TPM / Lean / CI experience beneficial)
  • The ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change, and share knowledge with others
  • Experience with utilities plant (boilers, compressors, refrigeration or similar) is an advantage but not essential.

Ready to brew something great together?

If you’re passionate about engineering, teamwork, and continuous improvement — and want to help brew some of New Zealand’s most loved beverages — we’d love to hear from you.

Please note: We are not accepting candidates from recruitment agencies for this role.
