Cabinet Maker jobs

Interspace Design Limited is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team in Auckland. The ideal candidate will be confident in their craft and capable of producing precise, high-standard work. As part of the role, candidates may be required to travel within the region. All travel expenses will be covered by the employer.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Select appropriate materials, fittings, and tools based on project requirements.
• Measure and cut materials accurately according to specifications.
• Interpret drawings, samples, and specifications to ensure precise execution of work.
• Work with various timber types including hardwood, softwood, veneers, particleboard, and engineered wood products.
• Plan and organise tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and project timelines.
• Restore and refurbish furniture and fittings as needed.
• Apply detailed craftsmanship and finishing touches to joinery and furniture pieces.
• Manufacture both standard and custom components as per project needs.
• Assemble cabinet and joinery parts into complete finished products.
• Apply surface finishes such as sealants, varnishes, or paint as required.
• Perform quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $30 to $40 per hour

• Skills to handle hand tools or basic machinery

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
