Full job description

Dreams Foods Limited, a quality hospitality business offering café and brunch services during the morning and afternoon, alongside restaurant operations in the evening, is seeking a reliable Barista to join its team in Auckland. The role involves preparing and serving a range of beverages, delivering high-quality customer service, maintaining food safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards, and supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the daytime café and brunch service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a range of coffee, tea, and other beverages according to customer orders.
  • Operate coffee-making and brewing equipment and explain different beverage options to customers when required.
  • Greet customers, take orders and payments, advise them of specials or new products, and respond to their questions or concerns.
  • Assist with preparing food items such as sandwiches and baked goods, grind and blend coffee beans, prepare coffee and tea, and serve orders to customers.
  • Pack and hand over food and beverages accurately according to customer orders.
  • Keep work areas clean and hygienic by removing waste, sanitising utensils, and cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
  • Check stock levels and replenish products in display areas, on tables, and behind the counter, while advising management of items requiring restocking.
  • Maintain and update signs and product displays to attract customers and promote available products.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $24 to $28 per hour.

Requirements for the role:

  • Relevant work experience is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to prepare and serve quality coffee and a range of hot and cold beverages.
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends and morning shiftsas required.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good coordination and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
