Full job description

Bakers Delight New Lynn is a busy bakery operating seven days a week. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service
  • Operating the till and handling cash
  • Completing end-of-shift cash-up
  • Slicing and packaging bread
  • Presenting and restocking bakery products
  • Keeping the customer area and workspaces clean and tidy
  • Assisting with other general bakery duties as required

Hours

  • Approximately 10 hours per week
  • Weekday afternoon shifts
  • Daytime weekend shifts
  • Weekend availability is essential
  • Additional or flexible hours may be available during school holidays

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive attitude and excellent customer-service skills
  • Honest, punctual and reliable
  • Able to work efficiently in a busy team environment
  • Reliable transport or the ability to commute to New Lynn
  • Previous retail, bakery or customer-service experience is preferred but not essential
