About the Role
Our village, Gulf Rise, located in Red Beach is looking for Café Assistants/Baristas, Kitchen Hands and Chefs to join them on a casual basis. Our Café Assistants/Baristas will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers, preparing coffee and other beverages. You will also be responsible for serving and collecting meals and operating the cash register. Our Kitchen Hands will be responsible to help with meal service for residents, assist Chefs with meal prep and cleaning duties. Our Chefs will be responsible to whipping up delicious meals for our residents and make sure the kitchen operates effortlessly.
About you
This is a fast-paced environment, so you'll be someone who loves being part of the team, enjoys thinking on your feet, and can prioritise and juggle tasks with ease. With the enjoyment of helping others, some things that will support your application include:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a commercial kitchen/café.
- Barista skills - ideally, you will have previous experience in a busy café operating the coffee machine and preparing various hot beverages.
- Experience working in a busy restaurant with high standard in Food and Safety procedures.
- Have impeccable personal presentation.
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills - it's a people role!
- Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hold a Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous).
