KSV NZ Limited, operating as a Split Milk Cafe Pt Chev in Point Chevalier, Auckland, is seeking a skilled Cafe Manager to oversee the strategic management and operational autonomy of the retail establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing the Cafe’s operations, including strategic planning, financial control, staff management, and ensuring compliance with franchise policies and local regulations.

Job Description:Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day café/restaurant operations.
• Develop menus and coordinate with kitchen staff.
• Manage purchasing, suppliers, stock levels and inventory.
• Set and review pricing in accordance with budgets and business objectives.
• Monitor sales, expenses, budgets and financial transactions.
• Recruit, train, roster and supervise café/kitchen staff.
• Monitor employee performance and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation and functionality of the premises.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and feedback.
• Monitor food and beverage quality and customer satisfaction.
• Organise functions, promotions and special events.
• Prepare operational and financial reports for the business owner.
• Coordinate daily opening/closing procedures and operational standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

NZQF Diploma Level-4 or higher qualification, OR At least one years of relevant experience in retail management, demonstrating substantial managerial autonomy and operational oversight.

Minimum hours per week: 30 and maximum hours per week: 40Demonstrated experience in retail management with full operational accountability.

Proven capability in strategic planning, budgeting, financial control, and decision making.

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to independently handle all staffing issues.

Advanced knowledge of marketing, pricing strategies, inventory management, and supplier negotiation.Excellent understanding of compliance with health, safety, and food regulations.

Ability to independently make decisions within the operational guidelines provided by the franchisor, ensuring substantial managerial autonomy.

Must have a valid status to work in New Zealand.

Clean character check.

Willing to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

Employment Conditions: This is a full-time managerial position based in Point Chevalier, Auckland Flexibility to accommodate varied working hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
