Full job description

Jup Maintenance Services Limited is seeking multiple skilled Carpenters to join the team in the Auckland Region. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

The successful applicant will be primarily based in Auckland but may also be required to work at other sites in the nearby regions such as Bay of Plenty and Waikato. All travel-related costs will be covered by the employer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand building plans, drawings, and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation requirements.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and assemble timber for constructing frameworks, walls, doors, windows, decks, and fences.
  • Select and source appropriate timber and other construction materials according to project specifications and requirements.
  • Perform repair and maintenance tasks on existing timber structures, fittings, and associated components as required.
  • Construct and install structural elements including roof framing, flooring systems, and internal partitions while complying with building regulations and safety standards.
  • Prepare and assemble timber joints, securing components using suitable fixings such as nails, screws, brackets, and other hardware.
  • Carry out regular maintenance activities to maintain the safety, strength, and longevity of timber structures.
  • Produce timber components and fixtures accurately, ensuring they are prepared for on-site installation.
  • Inspect work areas to identify defects or issues and complete or report any necessary corrective actions.
  • Support the successful delivery of projects by undertaking additional carpentry and site-related tasks as required.

Work Hours and Benefits

- Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week

- Paid between $30 to $40 per hour.

Other requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience or a relevant Level 4 qualification.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work weekends when required.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing labour-intensive duties.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently and meeting required deadlines.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
