About the role
Working within our Group Finance team, you'll provide accounting and reporting support across Ngāi Tahu Holdings Corporation and Ngāi Tahu Capital. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Supporting statutory financial statement preparation and external audits
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
- Assisting with tax compliance including GST, FBT and withholding tax obligations
- Supporting treasury activities and investment reporting
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and processes
What you'll bring
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with current CA ANZ membership
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline
- 2–3 years' experience in financial accounting, management accounting, assurance or professional services
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements and working with IFRS and/or PBE reporting requirements
- Experience preparing year-end audit workpapers and working with external auditors
- Advanced Excel capability and experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central or Navision
- Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and grow within a bicultural environment
