Chefs Wanted – Songbird Café (2 Positions Available)

Songbird Café is growing, and we are looking for two passionate and reliable Chefs to join our kitchen team.

We are a busy modern café focused on quality food, consistency, teamwork, and creating memorable experiences for our customers.

About the roles:

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes
  • Maintaining consistency in presentation, flavour, and portion control
  • Completing daily prep and supporting smooth service during busy periods
  • Following food safety and hygiene standards
  • Working closely with our kitchen and front-of-house teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working as a Chef
  • At least 1 year of experience in a New Zealand commercial kitchen
  • Previous café breakfast/brunch experience preferred
  • Confident working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation
  • Reliable, organised, and a positive team player
  • Must be available to work weekends
