You will provide safe, respectful, and person‑centred support in people’s homes, while also guiding your team to deliver care that reflects what matters most to each individual—their culture, values, beliefs, routines, and boundaries.
You will work in partnership with coordination and clinical teams to ensure care delivery is safe, consistent, and aligned with individual support plans, while also supporting workforce development and capability growth across your team.

With the added benefit of year-round training, you will be supported through:
- Structured induction and onboarding
- Leadership and coaching development
- Ongoing training, refreshers, and development modules

The following skills and experience may be required depending on the specific client needs you and your team support:
- Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or have equivalent, relevant experience
- Strong experience in the healthcare or community sector
- Confidence supporting, mentoring, or guiding others in care delivery
- Experience supporting complex care needs such as:
- Spinal injury
- Stoma management
- Hoist use (full, standing, and two-person)
- Medication administration
- Ability to balance hands-on support work with leadership responsibilities
- Love working with people and helping them thrive
- Willingness to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to individual needs
- Committed to culturally safe, respectful support for people from all backgrounds
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised, proactive, and responsive to both people and team needs
- Own a smartphone
- Full/restricted driver’s licence
- Right to work in New Zealand
- A Company vehicle and mobile phone will be provided
- Opportunity to develop leadership capability while remaining hands-on
- A clear career pathway for Kaiāwhina and emerging leaders
- Exclusive Spark Mobile Plan: Endless data (40GB max speed), unlimited NZ/AU calls & texts, hotspot access, voicemail for $24.15/month
Some people we support require Team Leaders and Support Workers with Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualifications to ensure safe and appropriate care delivery. We support equitable recruitment by recognising transferable experience and providing opportunities for capability development. This includes supporting both you and your team to maintain and build your skills. Care is matched based on skills, experience, and qualifications to ensure safe and responsive support.
