IT Support Technician

Job Description

An IT Support Technician helps employees or customers solve computer and technology problems. They are often the first point of contact when someone has an IT issue.

Typical responsibilities:

Troubleshoot computer, laptop, printer, and mobile device issues.

Install and configure hardware and software.

Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Windows systems.

Reset passwords and manage user accounts.

Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls.

Set up new employees' computers and equipment.

Assist with basic network and Wi-Fi problems.

Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or system administrators.

Skills:

Customer service and communication skills.

Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and computer hardware.

Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN).

Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira is helpful.
