Hell Pizza Upper Hutt is looking for 2 experienced Fast Food Cooks to join our team.

We’re looking for reliable people who are comfortable working in a busy food-service environment, can multitask, maintain high standards of food preparation and hygiene, and work well as part of a team.

Employment: Permanent, full-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Hours: 30–40 hours per week, with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week
Roster: Monday to Sunday, including evenings and weekends

Key duties include:

• Preparing and cooking pizzas and other fast-food menu items to order
• Preparing ingredients, including washing, cutting, measuring, portioning and organising food
• Preparing pizza bases, toppings and ingredients for service
• Operating pizza ovens and other commercial kitchen equipment safely
• Following recipes, portion specifications and Hell Pizza quality standards
• Managing multiple food orders accurately and efficiently during busy service periods
• Monitoring food quality and consistency
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling standards
• Cleaning food preparation areas, cooking equipment and utensils
• Receiving, storing, rotating and replenishing ingredients and supplies
• Preparing kitchen stations and completing opening and closing duties
• Supporting other team members during busy periods
• Assisting with customer orders and in-store service when required

Minimum requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a food-service or food-preparation environment, such as fast food, takeaway, hospitality, restaurants or commercial kitchens
• Practical experience preparing or handling food in a commercial environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced workplace
• Ability to follow recipes, food preparation procedures and food-safety requirements
• Reliable, punctual and organised
• Able to multitask and maintain accuracy while working under pressure
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Available for rostered evenings and weekends, including at least one Friday or Saturday night
• Available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
• Able to provide at least one recent, contactable employment referee who can verify relevant work experience and work performance

Previous commercial pizza-making experience is an advantage but is not essential.
