If you’re driven by progress and inspired by purpose, this is your chance to be part of something remarkable. Step into a career where your actions today help power tomorrow.
What you’ll do:
Embedded within our Data & AI team, you'll help modernise how Genesis manages, structures and uses data across the business. Working with business stakeholders, Data Architects, Data Engineers and Analysts, you'll migrate and transform data into our centralised Data Platform, delivering scalable, automated solutions that provide trusted business insights. You'll also contribute to emerging AI initiatives that enhance how data and reporting are used across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Analyse current data sources, data models, reporting processes and business rules to identify improvement opportunities.
Partner with stakeholders to define business, data and reporting requirements, translating these into user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria and technical requirements.
Work with Data Architects and Data Engineers to migrate, transform and optimise data within the Genesis Data Platform, including data mapping, transformation rules and reconciliation.
Support the delivery of scalable, automated data and reporting solutions, transitioning legacy reporting to modern analytics capabilities.
Perform data profiling, quality analysis, testing and business validation while identifying risks, dependencies and opportunities to improve governance and reporting outcomes.
Facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams and drive continuous improvement in data accessibility, reporting capability, business insights and the adoption of Data & AI solutions.
What you’ll bring:
We're looking for a Business Analyst with a passion for data who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and turning information into meaningful business outcomes.
You will also bring;
Proven Business Analyst experience delivering technology or data-focused initiatives.
Experience gathering and documenting reporting or business intelligence requirements.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and business processes.
Experience working alongside Data or technical delivery teams.
Exposure to reporting tools or modern data platforms such as Databricks would be highly regarded.
An interest in data, analytics and emerging technologies, including AI will set you apart.
How we’ll help you thrive:
At Genesis, we know that every moment matters - it’s not just about the mahi today, it’s also all the other benefits that set you up for a thriving future.
Some of our benefits include:
Southern Cross medical insurance, plus life, trauma and income protection insurances
Electricity and gas discounts and an extra 20 Power Shout hours per year.
