Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Retail Assistant who can create a positive shopping experience for the customers while supporting the store’s efficiency.

Permanent full-time job

Pay rate - $23.95 per hour

Minimum Hours – 30 to 35 hours

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

· Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standards.

· Help to maximise sales through effective and proper procedures for stocking, rotating, and merchandising product, both on the sales floor and in the back rooms and coolers/freezer

· Perform basic maths functions to collect payments and make change

· Scanning goods and ensuring pricing is accurate

· Operate registers, scanners, scales, and POS terminals

· Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets

· Redeem stamps and coupons

· Memorize product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions

. Reporting customer complaints to the owner

· Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner

· Assists team leader with Stock taking, ordering and inventory management

. Collect payments and bag purchases for customers

· Maintain accurate cash drawer

· Take a tally of the funds in the cash register when required during a shift and produce transaction reports

. Handling merchandise returns and exchanges.

· Recommend products to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need

· Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and signs

• Ability to manage inventory, stock levels, and vendor relationships effectively.
• A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
