Position: Electrical Technician
Hours: 35 - 40 (hours per week)
Pay: $ 30 - 37 (per hour)
Location: Unit 1, 11 Scanlen Terrace, Kelston, Auckland 0602, New Zealand

Job Duties :-

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools & and equipment & test electrical work for safety.
  • Install electrical wiring systems (lighting, security, fire) & Repair or replace electrical wiring, parts and equipment.
  • Study and interpret wiring diagrams and floor plans.
  • Follow architects’ drawings and either work in homes or on building sites.
  • Keeping records of the problems, they find with electrical equipment and the servicing they carry out.
  • Assists in estimating costs.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • You will be working upon a mixture of new installation, reactive and pre-planned maintenance projects within commercial, residential and new build site environments.
  • Organizing, servicing, repairing, testing and maintaining rotating machinery, engage in general electrical operations incompliance with company standards, procedures and policies and relevant NZ legislation.
  • Prepares charts and tabulations.
  • Managing all jobs from start to finish, improve operational methods when possible.
  • Focusing on Health and Safety, ensuring a safe workplace for yourself and other and identifying and controlling hazards.
  • Meeting customer expectations in a timely manner and preparing technical reports.
  • Use RCA and problem-solving techniques to obtain best solution to problems.
  • Ensure maximum personal utilization and efficiency & assist development of job instructions in correct format.
  • Ensure stock/parts are available when requires & interact with suppliers when requested.

Minimum Requirements (MANDATORY):

  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electrical and Electronic Engineering)
