We believe great healthcare starts with great people and are dedicated to building a high-performing, inclusive workplace

About the Role

Health New Zealand is seeking an experienced Clinical Equipment Assessment Specialist to join our national team. This is an opportunity to contribute to the evaluation and optimization of clinical equipment across our healthcare network.

As a Clinical Equipment Assessment Specialist, you will ensure that our healthcare facilities are equipped with appropriate, safe, and effective clinical technology. You will work with clinical teams, procurement specialists, and facility managers to assess equipment needs, evaluate new technologies, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This is a national role requiring occasional travel to HNZ facilities across the country.

Equipment assessments are based on supplier documentation and on-site evaluations coordinated by the Clinical Equipment Assessment Specialist. This role requires understanding of clinical workflows, equipment specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

About you:

  • Effective communication and adaptability to different audiences
  • High professionalism, integrity and commitment to continuous improvement

About the Team

The Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology Management (PSC&HTM) function plays a critical role in enabling equitable and sustainable healthcare delivery. Our team manages complex supply chain requirements, ensuring the right equipment and supplies are available when and where needed. Working within PSC&HTM offers opportunities to collaborate with clinicians, procurement specialists, engineers, and supply chain experts committed to innovation and excellence.
