Ministerial Resourcing are seeking expressions of interest for the Private Secretary (Administration and Executive Support) role, across Ministerial Offices.
This is an ongoing expression of interest. Applications will be reviewed as vacancies arise, both current and future, including fixed-term, roving, acting and events-based opportunities aligned with the Parliamentary term.
As a Private Secretary (Administration and Executive Support), you provide essential administrative support, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Minister’s office.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will:
- Manage the Minister’s diary, travel, and meeting arrangements
- Coordinate office workflows and administrative processes
- Prepare and manage correspondence and documentation
- Support financial and office administration processes
- Liaise with internal teams, agencies, and external stakeholders
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with processes
- Provide general operational support to the Minister and office
The Private Secretary (Administration and Executive Support) plays a key role in ensuring the office operates efficiently and effectively.

Role Details
Type: Events-based (aligned with the 3-year parliamentary term)
Location: Wellington
Salary Band: $71,767 - $101,349 per annum (based on skills, experience, and internal parity)
Eligibility
Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents and able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance at CONFIDENTIAL or above. Please assess your eligibility using the Protective Security Requirements tool.
