Position Overview
Keep the kitchen moving behind the scenes.
As a Kitchen Hand at QT Queenstown, you’ll play an important role in supporting our busy kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation and ensuring service runs smoothly. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to someone reliable, hardworking and ready to be part of a high-energy culinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen, dishwashing and back-of-house areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment efficiently during service.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen support duties.
• Ensure rubbish and recycling are removed and disposed of correctly.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and WH&S standards at all times.
• Support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in a kitchen hand or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
