Job Description
We're looking for a Food Systems Database Administrator to support the implementation of our new electronic menu management system. This is a unique opportunity for a systems-savvy Dietitian, Nutritionist, Food Service professional or Database Administrator who enjoys working with data, solving problems and ensuring information is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose. You'll play a key role in supporting the successful rollout of the CBORD menu management system project across our villages.
This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, with flexibility to consider part-time arrangements for the right candidate. Auckland-based candidates are strongly preferred.
Combine your passion for nutrition with your love of systems and data. In this role, you'll help ensure food and dietary information is accurate, reliable and ready to support safe, high-quality dining experiences for residents.
What you'll be doing
- Enter, maintain and validate food, menu and nutrition data in the CBORD system.
- Manage 2,000+ food items and product records.
- Review nutrition, allergen, diet code and serving size information for accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve missing, duplicate or incorrect data.
- Work with suppliers, Dietitians and operational teams to verify information.
- Support textured modified menus, including soft and bite-sized diets.
- Assist with system testing, user guides and implementation readiness.
Key areas of focus include:
- Data entry, validation and quality assurance
- Nutrition, allergen and dietary data accuracy
- Troubleshooting data issues
- Food systems testing and implementation
- Textured modified menu support
- Collaboration across Food Services, Dietetics and Digital teams

Qualifications
About You
You enjoy working with systems and data and take pride in getting the details right. You're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems, and can confidently work through large volumes of information while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You're equally comfortable working independently and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Qualification in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science, Food Service or a related field.
- Knowledge of nutrition, diets, allergens and food service processes.
- Strong computer skills and confidence using databases and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and validation.
- Strong problem-solving, organisation and communication skills.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
- Experience with menu management, food service, healthcare or related systems is advantageous.
