About Sumthin Dumplin

Sumthin Dumplin is a growing food business, and our HQ factory plays an important role in preparing the fresh ingredients and products supplied across our stores.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking and hands-on people to join our HQ Factory team in both part-time and full-time positions.

The Role

You will be part of our food preparation and production team, helping prepare the ingredients and products used across our Sumthin Dumplin stores.

The role will be hands-on and fast-paced, with a strong focus on food preparation, cleanliness, consistency and working efficiently as part of a team.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing and portioning ingredients for our stores
• Following recipes, preparation methods and food safety procedures
• Assisting with the production of our dumplins and other food products
• Operating food preparation and production machinery where required
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic work environment
• Correctly storing and handling food and ingredients
• Packing and preparing products for distribution to our stores
• Completing production tasks accurately and efficiently
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production requirements
• Following instructions and maintaining consistent product quality

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and punctual
• Hardworking and comfortable with hands-on work
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and completing repetitive food preparation tasks
• Has good attention to detail
• Takes pride in cleanliness and food safety
• Able to follow recipes, processes and instructions accurately
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities

Previous hospitality experience is preferred, particularly experience in:

• Food preparation
• Commercial kitchens
• Cafés or restaurants
• Food production
• Catering
• Working with commercial kitchen equipment or machinery

Food preparation or kitchen experience is an advantage, but we are also open to training the right person who has a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Hours

The hours will be similar to typical café hours, with work generally taking place during the day.

We are currently looking for:

• Full-time team members
• Part-time team members

Specific hours will be discussed based on availability and the needs of the role.

Pay: $23.95 – $26.00 per hour
