We’re Boost, a Wellington-based software development company with a mission to create positive impacts for public sector organisations and the people who use them. We’re looking for motivated, experienced Full Stack Software Developers and Engineers who share our passion for making a difference and enjoy solving interesting problems.

About You

Ideally, you'll have:
- have experience as a software developer
- ideally have experience with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript frameworks like Vue or React, and cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes
- expertise in producing modern, accessible web applications
- a Computer Science degree (or equivalent experience or education)
- enjoy learning about and using AI development tools

- Build bespoke applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Manage and configure our flexible infrastructure stack including AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Build and improve our Continuous Integration services (Github Actions and Gitlab Pipeline) - running tests, linters, security and accessibility audits and deployments.
- Develop high quality and well-tested code.
- Take initiative and be resourceful in problem-solving.
- Use tools like AI to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and improve development workflows.
- Work in a small, dedicated and high-performing Agile software team.
- Work closely with Product Owners and our UX/UI designers.
- Continuously learn and share knowledge to grow the development team capabilities.
- Build strong relationships with Boost team members and clients.
- Contribute to our award-winning culture by practising our core organisational values.

- This is a full-time role based in our Wellington office - we're not looking for hybrid or remote applicants.
- We believe your salary should reflect your experience, skills, and the value you bring to the team. The indicative salary range is $60K–$120K per year with the final offer discussed during our hiring process.
