About the Team – Highbrook DDS Operations
The Highbrook team is a tight-knit, high-performing group known for its strong teamwork, reliability, and shared commitment to operational excellence. You’ll be working alongside experienced drivers, machine operators, and admin professionals who support one another to deliver top-tier secure destruction services to clients across Auckland and beyond. We take pride in our service standards, safety-first culture, and can-do attitude – and we’re looking for someone who brings the same energy and integrity to the role.
About the Role
As a Driver in our DDS team, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering secure and efficient destruction services for our clients. This includes the collection, processing, and destruction of confidential materials, operating high-security equipment like shredders and disintegrators, and safely transporting materials to and from client sites.
You will also ensure high standards of service and operational safety while maintaining accurate records for billing and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, physically fit, and passionate about contributing to a high-performing operations team.
Key Responsibilities
-
Conduct secure collection and exchange of DDS bins and bulk destruction orders
-
Operate shredders, disintegrators, and hoggers safely and effectively
-
Maintain clean and compliant vehicles and work areas
-
Ensure the secure handling and transportation of confidential materials
-
Accurately complete daily job sheets, transport connotes, and logs
-
Deliver exceptional service to clients while upholding TIMG’s professional standards
-
Maintain personal and vehicle presentation in line with company policies
-
Assist with other operational duties and departments as required
-
Actively participate in health, safety, and environmental compliance initiatives
-
Identify and report any risks, incidents, or equipment issues promptly
What We’re Looking For
-
1–2 years’ experience in warehousing, machine operations, or logistics
-
Familiarity with shredding/disintegration equipment (advantageous)
-
A current full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred but not essential)
-
High attention to detail and strong time management
-
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and handle bins/materials
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
A proactive and safety-first mindset
-
Willingness to work as part of a supportive team
-
A clean criminal record and the ability to pass a security clearance check
What We Offer
-
A supportive, safety-focused workplace
-
Stable, full-time hours with structured shifts
-
Full training provided
-
Company uniform and vehicle (for work use)
-
Opportunities to grow your career within the Freightways Group
-
A values-based culture that prioritises security, professionalism, and trust
