NZ MEGA SIGNS LIMITED is looking for a Graphic Designer / Web Designer to join their team in the Waikato region.

The ideal candidate must be innovative, creative, and detail-oriented, with the ability to develop engaging designs and web content.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure the artwork follows requirements for printing and production, including tone, pixel density, and error checking.
  • Work on a variety of projects covering typography, modifying designs, layouts, and illustrations.
  • Ensure the design is saved as the appropriate specification with markings and bleeds, and resize existing designs/artwork as required.
  • Ensure all work is delivered according to brand and corporate identity guidelines.
  • Create print-ready artwork for both in-house production and offset production, working to copy brief due dates and quick turnaround times.
  • Collaborate and brainstorm with the creative team to define design briefs and requirements.
  • Research concepts, designs, reference material, and similar work.
  • Render and present design mock-ups for revision and feedback.
  • Implement feedback and revisions and create final designs for printing.
  • Review and proofread designs to ensure that copy, layout, and dimensions are print-ready.
  • Oversee the printing process to ensure colour quality and consistency.
  • Manage timelines and workflow of print design projects.
  • Work directly with clients, project managers, and Directors.
  • Resize existing artworks.
  • Undertake social media marketing.
  • Create advertisements for clients and run ads according to the customer's target audience.
  • Create video advertising content.
  • Manage domain registration and hosting and design websites.
  • Design, build, and maintain websites.
  • Create a design strategy and select and edit images for websites.
  • Choose fonts and colour schemes for websites.
  • Test websites to ensure that they are working correctly.
  • Keep abreast of innovations in image-editing software.
  • Maintain coding knowledge through additional training.
  • Manage website backups and updates.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $35 to $40 per hour.

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and positive approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
