Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical assessment and nursing interventions.
  • Supporting health screening, follow-up and care coordination.
  • Delivering health education and promoting preventive healthcare.
  • Working closely with general practice teams and community providers.
  • Supporting equitable access to health services.
  • Building trusted relationships with former refugees, families and community organisations.
  • Contributing to service improvement and quality initiatives.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practising Certificate.

  • Excellent assessment, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to equity, cultural safety and person-centred care.
  • Experience working across diverse communities and cultures.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • A current full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • It would be advantageous if you also have:
  • Experience working in primary care, community health or refugee health.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand primary healthcare services.
  • Experience using patient management systems such as Medtech or Indici.
  • Vaccinator authorisation or willingness to obtain this.

Why join us?
