Location: Radius Karori Care, 29 Messines Rd, Karori, Wellington

Hours of work Role 1: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, working night shifts mainly

Hours of work Role 2: Part-time, 18 hours per week

Pay rate: Subject to completed, recognized caregiving qualifications

About the role:

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Duties include:

• Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence

• Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner

• Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information

• Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records

• Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience:

• New Zealand Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent) preferred

• Dementia training preferred

• NZ caregiving/aged care experience preferred

• People skills + empathy for our residents and their families

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Flexibility to work the required rostered shifts
