Job Description
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical care and support to clients in community and residential settings, helping them maintain their health, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualised care plans
Provide clinical care in community, disability, rehabilitation, and aged care settings
Administer medications and monitor treatment plans
Assess health conditions and respond to clinical concerns
Support clients with complex health, disability, or rehabilitation needs
Coordinate care with GPs, allied health professionals, support workers, and family/whānau
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
Provide health education and guidance to clients and families
Ensure compliance with New Zealand nursing and healthcare standards
Support and supervise Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers when required
Requirements
Essential
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
Current Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) registration
Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Preferred
Experience in community nursing, aged care, rehabilitation, disability, or mental health services
Full New Zealand driver's licence for community-based roles
Experience working independently in client-focused environments
