Restaurant Manager Job Description
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high food quality and safety standards, and leading the team to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor inventory, place orders, and control food and labour costs.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
- Prepare staff rosters and manage scheduling.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant.
- Monitor sales, prepare reports, and help achieve financial targets.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
- Recruit, onboard, and evaluate employee performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
