Full job description

Red Rock Café Limited is a well-established hospitality business located in Waiheke Island,

Auckland, known for delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service. We are

currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team.

The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the

ability to consistently prepare high-quality meals in a fast-paced café environment. This role

requires someone who can work efficiently, follow recipes and food safety standards, and

contribute positively to a team-oriented workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

1. You are responsible of examining foodstuffs and ensure quality.

2. Regulating temperature of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.

3. Preparing, cooking and seasoning food during cooking.

4. Portioning food, packing and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.

5. Storing leftover food in temperature controlled facilities.

6. If required, preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.

7. Required to prepare and plan menu and estimate food requirements.

8. It is your responsibility to determine the customers satisfaction.

9. You would be responsible to follow the company’s Service Standards.

10. Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

11. It is your responsibility of cleaning the cooking area Ensuring and enforcing

food and hygiene regulations.

12. Responsibility to Freeze and preserve food.

13. Responsibility to train new staff and work with them

Qualifications and Experience:

 NZQF 4 qualification, or at least one year of relevant experience

 Right to work in New Zealand (New Zealand citizens, residents, or current work visa

holders).
