The Role
We're on the lookout for a Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen crew at LyLo Auckland. This is a great starting point if you're keen to build your skills in a professional kitchen, working alongside our chefs and picking up the tricks of the trade as you go. You'll help keep service running smoothly, the kitchen spotless, and the whole team fed and happy. We care more about attitude and willingness to learn than experience, so if you're reliable, keen and ready to roll your sleeves up, we want to hear from you.
This is a part-time role with flexible shifts, and you'll need full work rights in New Zealand to apply.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the kitchen team with food prep, cooking assistance and serving as directed by the chefs
  • Work efficiently and to a high standard during busy service periods
  • Show up to training sessions ready to learn and take on feedback from the chefs
  • Minimise wastage and keep an eye on stock and ingredients
  • Maintain a clean, safe and tidy kitchen at all times, including a range of cleaning duties
  • Follow LyLo's standard operating procedures, grooming standards and health and safety guidelines, while pitching in wherever the Executive Chef needs a hand
What You'll Bring
  • Previous kitchen experience is an advantage, but not essential
  • A reliable, can-do attitude and genuine willingness to learn
