- Laboratory Technician Microbiology, Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital
- Permanent, Full - Time, 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE)

About the Role
As a Medical Laboratory Technician within the Microbiology Department, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality laboratory services that contribute directly to patient diagnosis and care. Working in a busy and dynamic laboratory environment, you will perform laboratory procedures, process specimens, maintain equipment, and assist the wider technical team to ensure accurate and timely results.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Microbiology Department provides vital diagnostic services that support clinicians and healthcare teams across Hawke's Bay. We are a collaborative team committed to delivering accurate, reliable, and timely laboratory services while maintaining the highest professional and quality standards.

About you
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will bring:
- Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A keen interest in science and laboratory practice.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately.
- A positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Previous medical laboratory experience.
- Computer and data entry experience.
- Knowledge of the wider health sector and laboratory environments.
