About the role | Ko te mahi nei

As an Aquatic Supervisor, you'll play a key part in delivering a safe, high-quality, and engaging aquatic experiences for our community. You will also:

• Support the Aquatics Team Leader and Senior Supervisor by leading a shift of lifeguards.
• Ensure operational excellence, and help create a welcoming environment for all facility users.
• From overseeing daily poolside operations and responding to emergencies, to mentoring staff and maintaining Poolsafe standards, your leadership will help us achieve our goal of getting "more people, more active, more often."
• You will be an influential leader supporting the team to ensure the facility is running to standard while also going above and beyond for our customers.

About you | Ko Koe Tēnei

Our ideal applicant will:

• Be a confident leader with at least 18 months' experience in an aquatic environment and a passion for keeping people safe.
• You'll be calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and thrive in a team setting.
• Have excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering top-tier customer service, you bring a proactive approach to supervision and problem-solving.
• Hold current lifeguard and first aid certifications
• Ideally hold a water treatment certification — or are ready to get it.
• Above all, you lead by example and are driven to make a positive impact in your community.

Positions Available:

Parakiore – 40 hours/week

Hours of Work:

Sunday: 6:30am - 3:00pm

Monday: 5:00am - 1:30pm

Tuesday: 5:00am - 1:30pm

Wednesday: 5:00am - 1:30pm

Thursday: 5:00am - 1:30pm

Friday: Rostered day off

Saturday: Rostered day off

Te Pou Toetoe: Linwood – 40 hours/week

Hours of Work:

Tuesday: 1:15pm-9:45pm

Wednesday: 1:15pm-9:45pm*

Thursday: 1:15pm-9:45pm

Friday: 1:15pm-9:45pm

Saturday: 6:30am-3:00pm

Sunday: Rostered day off

Monday: Rostered day off

• Wednesday's from 3:00pm - 9:30pm are women's only pool sessions where only female staff can be on poolside. Alternative options for the Wednesday shift will be discussed during the interview process with any male candidates.

• Position: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: $29.71 - $33.01 per hour
• Please note: A standard swim test will be required following the interview as part of the recruitment process for this role.
