Point of Care Testing Coordinator

Permanent | Part-time | 1 FTE (80 hours per fortnight)Counties Manukau

About the role

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator to join our team.

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.

This is a permanent 1 FTE position, with hours of work negotiable.

The Point of Care Testing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the use of POCT devices across the organisation and working closely with clinical and laboratory staff to ensure devices are used appropriately and perform to the required standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical and scientific knowledge who enjoys working collaboratively with a wide range of healthcare professionals.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Science or a related health field
  • Strong technical and scientific skills
  • Experience or familiarity with Point of Care Testing would be advantageous
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with clinical teams
